The Ramona Expressway is San Jacinto's most dangerous road, and it's not close. With a high speed limit, minimal lighting on the eastern stretches, and intersections that see frequent T-bone collisions, this road generates more emergency towing calls than any other in the city. The intersection with Sanderson Avenue is particularly bad — we've pulled wrecked cars out of that crossing more times than we can count. When a call comes in from the Expressway, we dispatch immediately and coordinate with San Jacinto PD on the approach, because every minute that wreck sits in the travel lane is another minute someone could rear-end it.

The Soboba Casino area generates its own category of emergency calls — late-night wrecks on Soboba Road and State Street driven by visitors who aren't familiar with the roads, combined with the occasional DUI incident. The casino draws people from across the Inland Empire, and many of them are driving home late at night on roads they don't know. We get calls from the casino parking lot and the surrounding streets on a regular basis, and we've developed a relationship with casino security that lets us get on-scene quickly when needed.

Student-area incidents around Mt. San Jacinto College peak at the beginning of each semester and during final exam weeks, when the campus lots are full and traffic around State Street and Esplanade Avenue is at its worst. Fender benders in the parking lots, breakdowns from poorly maintained student cars, and the occasional more serious accident at the intersection of State and Esplanade keep us busy during the academic year. We know the campus layout and the surrounding streets, so when a student calls, we can find them without the back-and-forth.
